Tomboy Tools is thrilled to be an official sponsor of Avon Walk for Breast Cancer and we are IN IT TO END IT in 2010 and you can be too! Tomboy Tools is donating money from the sale of each Pink for a Purpose product line to support the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, an important project of the Avon Foundation for Women [a 501(c)(3) public charity].
The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer encompasses a series of weekend-long walk events. At the Avon Walks, thousands of people come together unified in the goal to raise awareness and vital funds to ensure that all women and men get the screening, support and treatment they need, and to accelerate the work of leading research teams in their quest for better treatment, improved detection and a cure. Since its launch in 2003, the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer has raised more than $320 million through the dedication of over 120,000 participants and volunteers.
We will be at each of the 9 walks in 2010 beginning with Houston, TX in April and ending with Charlotte, NC in October in the Wellness Village. We will provide various hands-on demonstrations; tips and techniques on beautifying your home, and basic tool knowledge. Tomboy Tools encourages all women (and men) to build confidence using tools and to empower you to tackle projects on your own.
